BIODEGRADABLE METAL RESORBABLE FIXATION SCREW CONTROLLED DEGRADATION Made from a completely resorbable, biodegradable, magnesium metal alloy, NOVAMag® fixation screws are ideal for securing barrier membranes, bone grafts and bone augmenting material. The screws provide support during the critical healing period and are completely resorbed within approximately one year. The screws integrate within the bone as they degrade, with new bone forming up to the surface of the screws.
FIVE SIZES FOR ALL YOUR FIXATION NEEDS The smallest screw (the NOVAMag® fixation screw XS) is specifically designed for securing membranes, such as the NOVAMag® membrane, the collagen membranes Jason® membrane or collprotect® membrane, as well as non-resorbable PTFE membranes, such as permamem®.
NOVAMag® fixation screws S-XL can be used for bone block fixation. Because the fixation screws are resorbable, remnants of the screws pose no risk during dental implant placement and can be left to completely resorb over a period of approximately one year after their implantation.
